Position Summary
The Emerging General Manager (EGM) role is a developmental leadership position designed to prepare high-potential leaders for future General Manager opportunities within Walmart Supply Chain. This role provides immersive experience leading complex operations, developing enterprise-wide business acumen, strengthening leadership capabilities, and driving operational excellence across a large-scale distribution or fulfillment environment. The Emerging General Manager partners closely with General Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business results, develop talent, execute Walmart Performance System (WPS) initiatives, and lead continuous improvement efforts while building the skills necessary to successfully transition into a General Manager role.

This role serves as a strategic leadership bridge to a future General Manager position, providing the experiences, exposure, and development necessary to successfully lead one of Walmart's complex Supply Chain operations.

The annual salary range for this position is $144,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor''s Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 3 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Assistant General Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 5 years experience in a senior management role as an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing.
