Position Overview
Harrison County Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room RN, Full-time Nights to provide safe, responsive nursing care for patients from infancy through geriatrics presenting with medical or post-surgical needs. This onsite, full-time night role (6pm–6am) includes one on-call shift per week and supports quality outcomes through consistent use of the nursing process and adherence to standards of practice, the nurse’s code of ethics, and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
Core expectations include thorough assessment, development and execution of individualized care plans, ongoing evaluation of patient response, and clear, timely documentation. The RN will also perform venipuncture and complete accurate cardiac rhythm monitoring.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Indiana RN license
- Current ACLS certification and PALS certification
- Venipuncture skills
- Cardiac rhythm monitoring proficiency; must score 85% on telemetry test
- Completion of a critical care course or equivalent emergency/critical care experience

As the night winds down, you complete final reassessments, ensure orders and documentation are up to date, and prepare a thorough report to support a smooth transition to the day team.
