Work Shift Day (United States of America)**Previous Travel experience strongly preferred. **A 13 week contract is required during surge season (Oct-March) BEFORE a candidate can be considered for PRN shifts during non-peak months. Team Members function under a contingency staffing model as a PRN Team Member (since only held to 1 contract per year), with no guaranteed hours, and no benefits offered. • All scheduling is done at the unit level, with no self scheduling. • Team Members are required to work 3 (three) Mondays and/or Fridays, and 3 (three) Saturdays and/or Sundays in a 4-week scheduling period. The Internal Agency RN Clinical Nurse- Emergency Department is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It is expected that all Internal Agency RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by effectively communicating information, responding to request, building rapport, participating in team problem solving methods, and upholding system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.
