STATUS and Aspirus Health are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to lead our Emergency Department team as the medical director at a new hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, scheduled to open in Fall 2026. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to shape rural emergency care in a modern facility from the ground up. Join STATUS working full-time, or part-time, at Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic.

 

Position Highlights

  • Projected Annual ED Volume: 6,324 patients
  • Projected Average Daily Volume: ED: 17, Inpatient: 2
  • Single physician coverage
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Max Shift Length: 24 hours 
  • Monthly Stipend: $1,500
  • 1099 independent contractor

Set to open Fall of 2026, Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic will be 1 of 18 hospitals operated by Aspirus Health. This nonprofit, community-directed health system based in Wausau, WI will expand access to essential, high-quality care, and support community health for Chippewa Falls residents and generations to come.
