VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital sees 25,000 patients per year. The candidate will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care and high-quality education in Emergency Medicine Duties & Responsibilities: Clinical - Provide excellent clinical care by demonstrating proficiency in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute medical and traumatic conditions. Provide efficient, high-quality patient care that reflects current professional practice norms and skills and is consistent with accepted utilization guidelines. Quality/Safety - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and promote patient safety and satisfaction. Administrative - Contribute to administrative and leadership responsibilities within the department, fostering a positive work environment and supporting the growth of Emergency Medicine services. Required Qualifications: Unrestricted Virginia Medical license or ability to qualify for one Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine; Fellowship training and/or additional subspecialty certification is desirable. Demonstrated a commitment to excellence in clinical care, education and research within the field of Emergency Medicine. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
