Position Details Position Information RecruitmentPosting Title: Emergency Medical Technician Posting Number: 25TM0251 Department: Emergency Services Overview The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2700 staff represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary retail operations.

Posting Summary Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Emergency Medical Technician Temporary for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations - Emergency Services.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

• Answers all calls for Emergency Medical Treatment in accordance with departmental standards and NJ Department of Health regulations. • Determines the nature and extent of the injury or medical condition. • Establishes priorities and renders emergency care. • Prepares detailed reports of all incidents. • Provides instructional courses as needed. • May be assigned to provide instructional courses as needed.

Salary Details Up to $22.00 per hour

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience High school or vocational school education or equivalent experience.

Certifications/Licenses • NJ Emergency Medical Technician or NJ DOH approved equivalent. • American Heart Association CPR BLS- Health Care Provider or DOH equivalent. • NIMS Awareness ICS-100 ICS-200. • Valid drivers license.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT.
