Role Summary

Our client, a nationally recognized healthcare system, is seeking a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide high-quality pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical care. This role is responsible for delivering basic life support, safely transporting patients, and responding to emergency situations while ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care to patients in emergency and non-emergency settings
  • Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients at the scene, during transport, and upon transfer of care
  • Safely operate ambulances and other emergency response vehicles
  • Respond to emergency and scheduled patient transports as dispatched
  • Perform patient assessments and emergency procedures in accordance with established medical protocols
  • Document patient care, treatments, and transport information accurately and completely
  • Communicate effectively with hospitals, dispatch personnel, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in emergency response, rescue operations, and public safety initiatives
  • Support quality improvement, staff training, mentoring, and community education programs as needed
  • Maintain emergency equipment and ensure vehicles are properly stocked and operational

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • Active state EMT certification or licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to maintain required Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (if required by the position)

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or comparable rotating schedule)
  • Schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed

Compensation

  • Hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $23.25, based on experience and qualifications
