The City of Napa Fire Department is committed to delivering high-quality emergency prevention, preparedness, and response services to residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the community. The Department is comprised of the Fire Administration, Fire Prevention, and Fire Operations Divisions, which work collaboratively to support the City's public safety mission.
The Emergency Manager is a new position within the Fire Department and will lead the City's emergency management and community risk reduction programs, including preparedness, response, mitigation, recovery, and training activities. This position plays a key role in strengthening the City's overall emergency management capabilities by enhancing existing plans, developing new programs, and building long-term resilience across the organization and community.
As the Emergency Manager, you will coordinate citywide emergency preparedness and response efforts, working closely with Fire Department staff, City departments, and local, regional, state, and federal partners. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and supporting emergency management programs and ensuring effective coordination of personnel, communications, and resources during all phases of emergency management.
The successful candidate will have experience coordinating multi-agency planning and response efforts and working within established emergency management systems to ensure effective and timely response to emergencies within the City of Napa.
