EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEPUTY DIRECTOR OPERATIONS
DEPARTMENT: Emergency Management
HIRING RANGE: $29.59-$32.86/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides assistance to the Director of Emergency Management as directed with planning and functions related to emergency preparedness and with implementation and administration during exercises or real emergency events. May be called upon to assume the duties and responsibilities of Director in the Director's absence, as directed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years in public administration, emergency/disaster planning, firefighting, police protection, emergency response services and/or related activities
- Associate's degree with in-depth emergency/disaster preparedness experience
- Valid driver's license
- Successful completion of Professional Emergency Managers basic, senior and master level training per DHS assessment requirements, within 1 year of employment
- Successful completion of DHS Community Emergency Response Team Train-the-Trainer course work, within 6 months of employment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- CPR/First Aid Certification Required & Hepatitis B Vaccine Eligible
- Pre-employment background check and drug test
