Shift: 7pm-7am - weekend and holiday rotation required
Status: Full Time
Our Emergency Department is a 25-bed unit that specializes in providing immediate medical care for patients with severe or urgent illnesses or injuries. It is equipped to handle a wide range of services, including initial assessment, treatment, stabilization, emergencies, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions and potentially admission to the hospital. Our preferred patient ratio is 4-5:1.

What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Experience: Nurse Aide experience. Experience in basic patient care, phlebotomy, EKG in an emergency or outpatient setting highly desirable, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Nurse Aide I, required. American Heart Association BLS required. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record, required. Phlebotomy Certification,required.
- Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Knowledge of medical terminology.
What You'll Do:
Duties:
- Obtain and record vital signs and report abnormal findings.
- Monitor patient status and cardiac rhythms, alerting RNs to any acute changes in condition.
- Stock and organize trauma bays and exam rooms with essential medical supplies.
- A variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
- Responsible for completing a variety of department specific tasks to assist with optimal department safety and functioning
