Location: Hudson, Florida Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift | Rotating Weekends Compensation: $33.85/hr – $47.02/hr Night Shift Differential: Additional $4.75/hr Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000
Position Overview
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered emergency care within a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, stabilize, treat, and monitor patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency Patient Care
Assess, prioritize, and monitor patients with emergent and urgent medical conditions
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and reassessments
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Deliver individualized emergency nursing care and treatments
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Assist with emergency procedures and patient stabilization
Patient Education & Advocacy
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Provide guidance on disease prevention and self-care strategies
Support positive patient experiences through compassionate care
Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes
Collaboration & Operations
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Follow emergency department protocols and infection prevention standards
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Support departmental goals and emergency response operations
Required Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of Emergency Department RN experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
RN Diploma required
Required Certifications
BLS within 30 days of start date
ACLS within 30 days of start date
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 6 months
ENPC or PALS within 6 months
TNCC within 1 year
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
Excellent critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
