Emergency Department Clinical Support Supervisor
Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.Supervises support level employees. Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area. Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher-level managers. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a medic level provider.Licensure/Certifications: Certified as an EMT-Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate with the Virginia Department of Health/Office of Emergency Medical Services. Certification in Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) or equivalency. ACLS and BLS provider required (instructor certifications preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree in Paramedic Preferred.Experience: Previous Supervisory Experience Preferred. EMS experience in a dual volunteer/career system model preferred.Licensure/Certifications: PALS NRP/STABLE ITLS/PHTLS provider preferred.
Physical Demands
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps) and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Compensation
The pay rate for this role starts at $63,939 annually. New hire compensation will be determined by education and experience.
Onboarding Requirements
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
