Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused ED Coordinators to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

ED Coordinators are one of the Emergency Centers first line of contact with emergency patients, patient families, physicians, nurses, paramedics, police officers and other para-medical personnel both in-house and outside the hospital. This is an excellent position for someone who possesses a high degree of public contact skills.

Other responsibilities as an ED coordinator include:

  • Entering patient care data
  • Ordering tests as directed
  • Chart processing
  • Admitting patients
  • Screening and answering phone calls
  • Other tasks as assigned

Coordinates patient flow and assists physicians and nurses with all aspects of patient care. ED Coordinators tasks must be constantly prioritized and executed quickly and accurately.

Work Schedule: 11 PM-7:30 AM, flex, every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or recent education (within one year) with office procedures and equipment
  • Previous computer experience required
  • Previous customer service experience that includes personal interactions, both in person and on the phone, problem solving and multi-tasking with skill in balancing the need of guests, patients and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Education or previous experience in health care field
  • Previous experience using an electronic medical record
  • Health Unit Coordinator Certification or experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrates understanding of patient rights and HIPAA
