Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy services as appropriate
  • Complete clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required records in accordance with company policy and professional standards
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with licensing board requirements
  • Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, case managers, and other treatment team members as appropriate
  • Utilize evidence-based and creative interventions to support client growth and achievement of treatment goals
  • Participate in clinical staff meetings, trainings, consultations, and other required activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and contribute positively to the clinic culture
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 25 client sessions per week for full-time status
  • Assist in community outreach and relationship-building efforts when appropriate
  • Perform other duties that support our mission, clients, and team (and probably a few meaningful things we forgot to list!)
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Virginia licensure or license-eligible status in a behavioral health discipline (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, etc.)
  • Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and model healthy professional boundaries with clients
  • Ability to complete documentation and administrative requirements accurately and in a timely manner
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations and presenting concerns
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems (Valant experience preferred)
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Commitment to ethical practice, professional growth, and ongoing learning
