Skills Required:
TCP/IP, Ethernet, Network Protocols & Standards, Jira, GitHub
Experience Required:
- 3+ years of experience in automotive software development, software integration, or Systems/D&R Engineering. - Proven experience working with vehicle electrical architectures (experience with FNV architectures is highly preferred). - Experience working with tier-1/tier-2 suppliers and managing supplier software delivery timelines. - Demonstrated experience participating in or leading vehicle launch activities and troubleshooting software issues in a plant or test-lab environment.
ECG software. - Ensure On-Time Delivery: Partner with software development program management teams to define and implement processes that guarantee the on-time delivery of software, aligned with established vehicle program requirements. - Leverage Data-Driven Approach: Advocate for and utilize connected vehicle data to support engineering problem solving and data-driven decision-making processes. - On-site support: Provide on-site support to troubleshoot, flash, test and validate ECG SW at system level (Breadboard or vehicle) to help collect data required to improve SW quality. - Proactive Risk Management: Apply project management best practices by proactively identifying potential project risks associated with software development and integration. Develop mitigation strategies or escalate critical risks for timely resolution.
Manage and oversee the technical execution, integration, and delivery of ECG software into FNV2, FNV3, and FNV3.x vehicle programs. Ensure all software releases meet strict project requirements, quality standards, and program milestones. - Provide hands-on leadership and engineering support to guarantee the timely integration and seamless functionality of ECG software during new vehicle launches. Manage ongoing software maintenance, updates, and over-the-air (OTA) improvements to address and resolve post-launch issues. - Facilitate highly effective collaboration and communication between vehicle program teams, BTP suppliers, and internal software development teams. Champion agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) to streamline processes and ensure efficient, timely software delivery across multiple vehicle programs. - Partner closely with software development program management teams to define, implement, and optimize processes that guarantee on-time software delivery aligned with established vehicle program milestones. - Provide essential on-site engineering support to troubleshoot, flash, test, and validate ECG software at the system level. Perform hands-on validation on breadboards (HIL simulators) or physical test vehicles to collect diagnostic data that drives software quality improvements. - Advocate for and utilize connected vehicle data and telemetry to support engineering root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making processes. - Apply project management best practices to proactively identify, track, and assess potential risks associated with software development and integration. Develop robust mitigation strategies and escalate critical risks to leadership for timely resolution. - Promote a collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, creative problem-solving, and continuous process improvement. Explore and implement new tools, strategies, and methodologies to enhance ECG software performance and delivery efficiency.
