Job Overview

Christopher Lee Structures is seeking a skilled Elevator Service Technician to join our team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial elevator systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on elevator systems in residential and commercial properties
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to ensure systems are operational
• Install and commission new elevator systems as per client specifications
• Respond to service requests, including after-hours or emergency calls, as needed
• Complete service reports, ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety codes and regulations in the execution of tasks
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, repairs, and upgrades
• Troubleshoot system performance and contribute to ongoing improvements
• Mentor and support junior technicians, providing guidance when needed

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical field, such as electrical, mechanical, or a related discipline
• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally for service calls
• Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Willingness to obtain elevator certification (training provided)

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with elevator or vertical transportation systems is a plus
• Experience using diagnostic tools and service software for troubleshooting and repairs

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Minimum 40 hours per week; on-call rotation may be required
• Work Environment: Field-based with travel to customer sites

Compensation

• $32.00-$45.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Overtime and on-call pay may apply
