Position Summary

River City Believers Academy is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Elementary Teacher to join our Christ-centered learning community. This role requires a teacher who demonstrates excellence in academic instruction while modeling a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ both inside and outside the classroom. Our ideal candidate has a heart for children, a passion for biblical integration in all subject areas, and a commitment to cultivating the academic, spiritual, emotional, and social growth of each student.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, engaging, and structured classroom environment grounded in biblical truth and academic excellence.
• Teach elementary students using developmentally appropriate methods and differentiated instruction across core subject areas, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
• Integrate Scripture and a Christian worldview into daily lessons, classroom discussions, and student interactions.
• Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.
• Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
• Build strong, Christ-honoring relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff.
• Plan and implement hands-on activities, projects, and classroom routines that support student engagement and growth.
• Assess student learning regularly and provide appropriate academic support and enrichment as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty and administration to support school-wide goals, events, and spiritual development initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and school events as required.

Qualifications

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A clear calling and passion for Christian education.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Valid teaching certification or willingness to pursue certification.
• Classroom teaching experience preferred, particularly in elementary education.
• Strong communication, organization, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to uphold the mission, vision, and core values of River City Believers Academy.
