Primary Job Function:
The Reynoldsburg City Schools' Elementary Teacher is responsible for fostering a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where foundational academic and social-emotional skills are developed. This role focuses on "Science of Reading" implementation, explicit Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction, and the management of whole-child development through PBIS and community building.

Physical Demands - The employee is required to sit or stand and move around for extended periods of time to maintain high visibility in hallways and common areas. While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to push, pull, lift and carry over 25 pounds on occasion.
Working Conditions - This is a fast-paced environment with significant mental and emotional demands. Similar to a classroom teacher, the employee works directly with students and staff in a dynamic setting that requires rapid de-escalation skills and emotional resilience. This role includes occasional exposure to chemicals (e.g., science labs or cleaning supplies) and unruly behavior. In accordance with safety protocols, the employee may experience occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue during emergency response.
Driving Requirement - This position may require driving between district buildings or to off-site meetings.
