The Teacher in Residence supports classroom instruction in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities including providing a co-teaching environment while developing the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective educator. At Connally ISD, the Teacher in Residence receives hands-on experience under the direct supervision of an experienced certified educator for 60-80% of the week and participates in professional development that prepares them to successfully lead classrooms in the future. University schedules are coordinated by the Apprentice and approved by the District's Assistant Superintendent of Talent or HR Director.
