The Durand-Arkansaw School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate student success coach to join our team supporting students primarly in grades PK-5. This is a 1.0 FTE beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will be joining a Pupil Services team that consists of two school counselors, two full-time school psychologists, a full-time social worker, a full-time school resource officer, full-time administrative assistant, and a full-time director of pupil services. Please note that this is a grant-funded position for 2 years only.
The Student Success Coach serves as a member of the Pupil Services team to support students' behavioral, social-emotional, and academic success. This position assists with the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of tier 1 and 2 instruction and intervention within the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. The Student Success Coach collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, school counselor, special education staff, and families to proactively address barriers to student learning and improve student engagement, behavior, attendance, and academic outcomes. This position provides direct student support, facilitates intervention planning and implementation, assists with behavior response and de-escalation, and helps to ensure consistency and fidelity within the MTSS system.
Key Responsibilities will include the following:
Assist in the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of tier 1 and 2 behavioral, social-emotional, and academic instruction and interventions.
Support the MTSS process through data collection, progress monitoring, and intervention documentation.
Participate in MTSS, student support, and problem-solving team meetings.
Collaborate with staff, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement targeted intervention plans.
Provide direct support to students demonstrating behavioral, emotional, or self-regulation needs.
Assist students in developing coping skills, self-regulation strategies, organizational skills, and positive peer interactions.
Provide coaching and support to staff implementing intervention plans and classroom supports.
Facilitate and/or support SEL instruction and interventions.
Support implementation of targeted academic interventions as assigned.
