Duties
Bureau Valley School District is seeking a full-time Elementary School Counselor or Social Worker. This person will be responsible for providing direct counseling services to students through individual and small-group sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs; delivering classroom-based social-emotional learning instruction; collaborating with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement intervention strategies; participating in multidisciplinary teams (e.g., IEP, 504, MTSS); engaging and communicating with families while connecting them to community resources; responding to student crises with appropriate intervention and safety planning; maintaining accurate and confidential documentation; monitoring and evaluating student progress; and promoting a safe, inclusive, and equitable school environment that supports the overall well-being and success of all students.
Qualifications
Illinois Certified School Counselor or Social Worker
Salary/Benefits
As per negotiated salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.
