Elementary Professional School Counselor
Elementary Professional School Counselors are certified school counselors who work with students in grades K-5. They provide academic, social, and emotional support to students, helping them to develop skills and strategies to achieve academic success and personal growth. Elementary Professional School Counselors work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Their responsibilities may include:
• Developing and implementing individualized student plans to help students achieve academic and personal goals • Providing counseling and support to students on a variety of topics, including social skills, emotional regulation, and academic motivation • Collaborating with teachers to identify and support students who are struggling academically or socially • Providing parent and family support and education on topics such as child development, academic achievement, and mental health • Developing and implementing school-wide programs and initiatives to promote student well-being and academic success
