JOB TITLE: Elementary Principal

REPORTS TO: Superintendent
PAY RATE/SALARY: $82,577 - 95,041
WORKING DAYS/HOURS: M-F 8am-4pm, 52 weeks

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Elementary teaching certificate; minimum of 5 years teaching experience; K-12 Administration Certification
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide building leadership in curriculum improvement, implementation, and evaluation to promote the educational
development of each student.
- Monitor the building budget and expenditures
- Collaborate with parents and community members to provide a safe learning environment.
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate all certified and non-certified personnel in the building.
- Coordinate services with the Intermediate School District (ISD).
- Ensure all student records are accurate and current (CA60s, PowerSchool, IEPs, 504s)
- Assist teachers, students, parents with school related issues.
- Collaborate with community members to provide resources and partnerships
- Promote the school and district throughout the community
- Participate in meetings: IEPs, principals, admin, negotiations, board, and other as required or appropriate
- Build a master schedule conducive to student needs with proper supervision during appropriate times
- Lead regularly scheduled professional development for staff
- Analyze data and use it to guide decisions
- Coordinate activities within the building and requests for its use by outside organizations
- Adhere to all State mandates (emergency drills, licensure requirements, etc)
- Collaborate with all district departments (transportation, finance, HR, operations, food service)
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent in carrying out the policies of the Board of Education
and the district regulations.

- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating characteristics of being approachable, personable, and accessible to staff and
community.
- Demonstrate ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and PTO's.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and expertise in working with diverse students including at-risk and special education.
- Positively market the school to grow programs available: Daycare, HeadStart, GSRP, Young 5s
- Leadership with a proven track record of strong abilities in planning, supervision, human relations, communication, and staff
development.
- Demonstrate involvement in leading school improvement teams.
- Proven leadership in developing strategies and interventions in increasing student standardized test scores and student
enrollment.
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, instructional strategies, assessments, and research-based best practices.
- Strong competency and familiarity with emerging technologies and their instructional applications.
