Position Title: Library Educational Assistant

Department/Location: Eisenhower & Underwood Elementary Schools

Job Classification: Educational Assistant (Non-Exempt)

Reports to: Elementary Library Media Coordinator

Supervises: N/A

Anticipated Start Date: August 17, 2026

Anticipated Hours: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm

Anticipated Pay Rate: The beginning rate for the Library Educational Assistant assignment is as follows:

  • Without License $19.73
  • With DPI teacher certification $21.87

The Wauwatosa School District (WSD) is seeking candidates interested in serving as a Library Educational Assistant. At the time of this posting, two positions are available: One at Eisenhower Elementary and one at Underwood Elementary. Eisenhower serves approximately 362 students, and Underwood serves approximately 293 students. A teaching license is preferred for this position.

The Library Assistant oversees the day-to-day operations of the elementary library media centers.
