Job Title: Talk About Trees Facilitator
Description: Talk About Trees is an award-winning Forest Education Program sponsored by Oregon Women in Timber and funded, in part, by Oregon Forest Resources Institute. Facilitators travel to schools and present free, interactive, hands-on Classroom Programs to students preschool to eighth grade.
The goals of Talk About Trees are to increase awareness and appreciation of the value of trees and to encourage an understanding about the protection, management and conservation of the forest.
Territory: Clackamas County (Oregon City, North Clackamas SD, West Linn, Wilsonville)
Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in Education, Environmental Education, Natural Resources or Forestry. Teaching experience preferred.
Compensation: -Tree Talk, Pre-school - Grade 2 (Approximately 30 minutes)
$30.00 per program
$30 .00 per program
$60.00 per program

will be compensated on a per case basis.
For the 2026-2027 school year, contracts will be offered in the amount of $15,000-$20,000.
Based on performance, this contract will be renewable on July 1, 2027.
Reimbursements: Mileage - Facilitators will be reimbursed $.725 per teaching mile traveled.
Travel - Pre-approved reimbursements for overnight travel are available.
Please Note: This position is that of an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. There is compensation for teaching and reimbursement for mileage and travel. There is no base salary or benefits.
