Job Title: Electronics TechnicianJob Description

The Electronics Technician will perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting, testing, and assembly on boards and couplers used in advanced radar systems for aerospace and defense applications. This role involves working with complex electro-mechanical devices, using a variety of test equipment, and interpreting technical documentation to ensure high-quality, reliable RF components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on boards and couplers used in military and defense radar systems.
  • Test, assemble, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical devices to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Use test equipment, including oscilloscopes, voltmeters, multimeters, analyzers, scopes, and network analyzers, to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Conduct component-level troubleshooting and repair of analog and digital circuits.
  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and CAD drawings to support assembly, testing, and repair activities.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Work independently at the bench and on the shop floor to assemble, test, and build high power RF coaxial components.
  • Document test results, findings, and repairs as required to support quality and traceability.
  • Collaborate with team members in manufacturing and engineering to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while handling sensitive electronic components and test equipment.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience testing, assembling, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical devices.
  • Experience performing component-level troubleshooting and repair of analog and digital circuits (1+ years).
  • Proficiency using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, multimeters, analyzers, scopes, and network analyzers.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Technical background as a technician or assembler in electronics, electrical, or mechanical environments.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and testing skills.
  • Trade school certificate in electronics, electrical, or a related technical field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a similar technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience working with RF components such as couplers, combiners, and power dividers is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense products and standards is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing setting with approximately 45 employees, combining shop floor and bench work in a clean, well-organized environment. The company focuses on high power, broadband RF coaxial components, including directional couplers, hybrid couplers, RF combiners, power dividers, and related products, providing exposure to cutting-edge defense and radar projects. Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This is a long-term, contract-to-permanent opportunity that offers an excellent work setting and the chance to work on advanced aerospace and defense assemblies, testing, and builds. Accrued sick time (PTO) is available, and the culture emphasizes high quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
