QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands-on experience with soldering (especially CPU/circuit boards)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills at the circuit board and system level
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics
  • Experience working with or around CNC-controlled equipment (3-axis preferred)
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working with physical equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electronic control boxes and electrical systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Rebuild and service optometry machines for resale and customer use
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic control systems and enclosure controllers
  • Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair on circuit boards
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems within machinery
  • Work with three-axis CNC tabletop machines used for precision cutting
  • Read and interpret schematics to identify and resolve issues
  • Collaborate directly with ownership on priorities, progress, and problem-solving

We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Technician to support the repair, rebuild, and maintenance of precision optometry equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both mechanical and electronic systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and seeing tangible results from their work.

You’ll play a key role in extending the life of specialized machinery by diagnosing problems, rebuilding components, and preparing equipment for resale. This is a part-time (~30 hours/ per week) opportunity with strong potential for growth, offering direct collaboration with a small, experienced team in a highly specialized environment.
