Electronics System Engineer

Seeking talented candidates for an Electronic Systems Engineer role with an established mmanufacturing company in the greater Pittsburgh area. Hybrid position - 3 days onsite per week - and includes competitive salary, bonus eligible, and an attractive benefits package. This role will support the design, development, troubleshooting, and support of embedded electronic systems used in industrial control and monitoring applications.

Focus areas:

• embedded hardware / PCB design
• firmware & software troubleshooting
• sustaining engineering and field/customer support
• new product development

Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, test, and support embedded electronic systems
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software issues
• Support embedded control systems, sensors, and monitoring devices
• Perform sustaining engineering, root cause analysis, and product improvements
• Support field/customer technical issues and returned product analysis
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and third-party vendors
• Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3–6 years of embedded electronics or electrical engineering experience
• Experience with embedded hardware, microcontrollers, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of embedded firmware/software environments (C, RTOS, Linux, etc.)
• Experience with analog/digital circuitry and PCB-related design work preferred
