Security Systems Installation Technician Responsibilities:
We"re seeking a hands-on Security Systems Installation Technician to join our team in a traveling role along the East Coast. This technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of integrated security systems, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role is physically demanding, customer-facing, and ideal for someone who is self-directed, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair integrated security systems including:
- CCTV systems (analog and IP-based)
- Electronic locking mechanisms and mechanical locking devices
- Intercom and audio communication systems
- Card access control systems
- PLC and relay logic-based controls
- Perform structured cabling and network setup for security systems
- Interpret and follow written/verbal instructions from supervisors and clients
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness and adhere to all safety protocols (OSHA/general contractor)
- Safeguard company tools, equipment, and materials while onsite
- Document and report job progress, unsafe conditions, or quality issues promptly
- Rotate into the on-call schedule for emergency troubleshooting or repair needs
Security Systems Installation Technician Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience with electronic and/or mechanical experience working on security systems
- Experience installing cameras, CCTV equipment, PLC's, AV systems, integrated security systems
- Experience servicing detention centers or other high-security facilities is a huge plus
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a company vehicle
