Electronics Engineering Manager

As the Electronics Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of building and leading a team of talented electronics engineers. You will have a pivotal role in shaping the future of our satellite technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and delivering performance that sets new industry standards.

Role

Directly manage, mentor, and expand a team of both junior and senior electronics engineers. Collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to define and architect our next-generation electronic systems. Oversee the entire lifecycle of our electronic hardware, from design and development to implementation and verification. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule to ensure that our hardware development aligns with the overall program timeline. Drive the design process, including specification, component selection, circuit board design, and system-level integration. Lead the team through hands-on debugging, board bring-up, and system validation. Play a key role in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members to support our rapid growth. Provide expert support to our production and operations teams for the successful deployment and use of our hardware. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field. 5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced product design and development environment. 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex electronic hardware from concept to production. A passion for hardware development and a desire to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch. Proven experience in building and managing teams of engineers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Bonus Experience

Experience with photovoltaics. Experience with Li-ion batteries and battery management systems. Experience with magnetics in power electronics. Knowledge of radiation effects on electronic components.
