Qualifications:
  • BSEE, MSEE, 10+ years’ experience in Hardware Engineering
  • Experience in design of embedded systems, including microcontrollers, firmware development, and PCB layout, COTS (Commercial off the shelf) exp with VME, cPCI products (compact PCI)
  • Experience using design and test tools and software such as Orcad, Altium, AutoCAD, Python (for test scripts development)
  • Hands-on experience with PCB test, troubleshoot, and debug, usage of oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter, Signal generators, Logic analyzers, JTAG test development, test fixture design test data collection, VME’s
  • Experience with Military/DOD design process a plus
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to embedded systems manufacturing, such as ISO 9001, IPC standards, and RoHS compliance.
  • Familiarity in working with Contract Manufacturing partners
  • US Citizenship or Green Card

Responsibilities:
  • Familiar with Military Projects knowledge of DoD military process is for design. Identify the steps to comply with the design process.
  • Identify "big picture" goal, develop strategy and plan of execution to reach goal.
  • Re-Design identify a general redesign or technology refresh  to change a PWB or change a BOM to add an interposer.
  • Test adapters Design Identify requirements, design and layout.
  • JTag Test development Identify requirements & write JTag test programs.
  • Test fixture design/debug Defining requirements for test & deep dive into documentation.
  • Engineering Solutions Identifying Engineering Solutions for new test fixtures, design, non-FFF crosses.
  • Interface with Vendors Technical discussions with vendors to resolve issues or have detailed technical questions.
  • Design authority. Approval of design work.
