The Electronics Technician I provides operational and technical support at Fallon Range Training Complex, performing routine tasks such as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment, and taking test readings with standard instruments. Under close supervision, they follow detailed instructions and work on systems including radar, signal processing, communications, and power supplies. Requirements include 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience or 2 years of formal technical training, strong communication skills, U.S. citizenship, an active Secret clearance, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role involves cross-training on additional EW systems, performing corrosion control, and operating various electronic systems. It is represented by a Union CBA and requires a valid driver’s license. The technician must be operationally qualified within 90 days of hire or promotion.
