Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Test Technician - III for a contract opportunity in Poway, CA, supporting advanced aerospace and defense electronics within an avionics test environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong component-leveltroubleshooting skills, RF knowledge, and experience testing and repairing complex electronic assemblies.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical technology in a highly technical, team-oriented setting. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, perform, and analyze electronic tests according to established procedures, while accurately documenting results.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems, circuit card assemblies, and components down to the PWA and component level.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and related documentation.
- Operate and maintain test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, voltmeters, and function generators.
- Repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits with accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and training to other technicians while collaborating with team members to resolve complex issues.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Poway, CA.
- 1st shift: 5:00 am to 2:30 pm.
- 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 12:30 am.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform electronic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced avionics and RF-related assemblies.
- Diagnose faults down to the component level using schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Operate bench test equipment and document test results accurately.
- Support safe and efficient test operations in a high-reliability aerospace and defense environment.

- Associate degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of related experience, or at least 5 years of related experience without an Associate degree.
- Experience troubleshooting electronics down to the component level is required.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, including Ohm's Law, op-amp circuits, and AC/DC conversion.
- Working knowledge of RF systems, communications equipment, and RF components such as amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and mixers.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, power supplies, function generators, and signal generators.
- Experience with LabVIEW and programming tools such as ICD 2, ICD 3, ICD 4, CPLD, or J-Link.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, communication skills, and a team-oriented, solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to follow safety protocols when working around high-voltage, high-pressure, high-energy, cryogenic, or other hazardous systems.
- Ability to complete an evaluation covering electrical knowledge, electronics formulas, and electronics theory after the interview.

Preferred Qualifications
- Active security clearance.
- Military or technical school training in test operations, electronics, avionics, or experimental operations.
- Prior aerospace, defense, avionics, or unmanned systems experience.
- Experience providing technical guidance or training to junior technicians.
