Job Description:

The Electronic Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems and components. This role ensures all products meet established specifications and customer requirements while supporting production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly, Testing & Repair

  • Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on electro-mechanical assemblies down to the component level.
  • Carry out soldering and electronic repairs as required.
  • Utilize various types of electronic testing equipment to validate performance and functionality.

Quality & Documentation

  • Ensure all outgoing products meet defined specifications; reject or dispose of items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Document test processes and results for electronic equipment in line with standard procedures.
  • Consider quality impact when making decisions and performing tasks.

Production Support

  • Adhere to production schedules and expedite units based on required shipment dates.
  • Support additional functions such as maintenance, inventory activities, special projects, and engineering or development assistance as needed.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Technical high school education or a minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in a related technical discipline is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong electro-mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
  • Experience with soldering and electronic repair techniques.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
