The Electronic Components Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and executing the global supply chain strategy for electronic components supporting a customer-focused electronics manufacturing environment. This role serves as the corporate subject-matter expert for semiconductors, passives, interconnects, electromechanical components, and discrete commodities, while ensuring continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and risk mitigation across the organization.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in electronic component supply chains, component manufacturing processes, electronic distribution channels, and supplier management. This individual will work closely with manufacturing plants, purchasing, planning, engineering, quality, and executive leadership to develop and execute commodity strategies that support business objectives.

Candidates with experience supporting Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), contract manufacturing, or customer-owned product environments are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate understands the unique requirements of BOM-driven manufacturing, material planning, customer-focused supply chains, and electronic component lifecycle management.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE

• 10+ years of experience in Electronic Components Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Supplier Management.
• Extensive experience managing semiconductor, passive, interconnect, electromechanical, and discrete component supply chains.
• Experience supporting Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) organizations.
• Experience within Contract Manufacturing or PCBA manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting customer-owned products and customer-driven supply chains.
• Experience managing supply chains for high-mix/low-volume or high-volume electronics manufacturing operations.
• Experience working with major EMS providers such as Foxconn, Flex, Jabil, Sanmina, Plexus, Celestica, Benchmark, or similar organizations.
• Experience managing electronic component sourcing through EMS supply models.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
