We are currently searching for an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team.
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will conduct various types of inspections and assemblies, as well as testing, troubleshooting and documentation tasks on complex ultrasound systems in a warehouse/operations environment.
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the following:
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly and disassembly (multi-system rack, back-shell kits, circuit board assemblies)
- Test transducers and terminate transducer cables
- Conduct performance system testing
- Perform incoming and outgoing inspection tests
- Move inventory through correct processes and ensure it starts and ends in the right location
- Troubleshoot and collect data for engineers
- Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware used throughout Verasonics
- Follow testing instructions and assembly documentation precisely
- Maintain work travelers for systems
- Reference mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics with a general understanding
- Create instructions for Field Service and internal training
- Label incoming material and products as needed and update through Salesforce
- Assist with ESD monitoring and maintenance
- Clean and maintain work area, which includes cleaning ESD floor, maintaining clean and ESD compliant work benches, and taking out recycling and garbage
- Assist with shipping and receiving, boxing and packing, assembling products for shipment
Basic Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of hands-on mechanical work experience or vocational training/certification
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, hardware testing, or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient using a PC, Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists
- Strong technical aptitude, sharp problem-solving abilities and solid analytical skills
- Solid computer literacy with an ability to quickly learn new system
- Experience with Salesforce, computer imaging, and inventory management is a strong plus
- A consistent track record of meeting deadlines and reliability
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Bold about initiating, asking questions, and continual learning
Additional Requirements:
- Able to travel for work domestically
- Exceptional organizational skills for handling lots of details and moving parts
- Must possess the ability to lift and transport computers, monitors, and printers up to 60 pounds
