Position Overview

Sigmatech is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support calibration set maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and sustainment activities for Department of Defense programs. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise for calibration systems, test equipment, and weapon system support assets while ensuring equipment reliability, accuracy, and readiness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, modification, calibration, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems and calibration sets.
  • Support the inspection, testing, repair, reset, and certification of calibration equipment and measurement systems.
  • Conduct fault isolation and root cause analysis on complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and automated test systems.
  • Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
  • Support lifecycle sustainment activities for calibration assets and associated support equipment.
  • Verify calibration standards, measurement accuracy, and compliance with applicable military and industry requirements.
  • Document maintenance actions, calibration results, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Assist engineers in evaluating equipment performance, implementing modifications, and improving maintenance processes.
  • Support inventory management, configuration control, and accountability of calibration assets.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and security requirements.

Required Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Related Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) such as SHORAD, Ground-Based Weapon Systems, Material Maintenance, or equivalent military/technical experience.
  • Technical trade school certification or equivalent formal technical training.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of related military occupational specialty experience, or five (5) years of technical trade experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience supporting calibration laboratories, test equipment maintenance, or metrology programs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electro-mechanical systems to component level.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical publications, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic maintenance documentation systems.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.(or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Army TMDE, calibration, or metrology operations.
  • Familiarity with GCSS-Army, LMP, or other military logistics and maintenance systems.
  • Experience supporting weapon systems, missile systems, radar systems, or aviation support equipment.
  • IPC soldering certification or equivalent technical certifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in maintenance shops, laboratories, warehouses, and field environments.
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform hands-on maintenance activities for extended periods.

Desired Experience

Candidates with experience supporting calibration sets such as AN/GSM-705, AN/GSM-421, TMDE assets, electronic test stations, measurement standards, and associated Army calibration programs are highly desired.
