A day in the life

You start your shift with a quick handoff from the outgoing tech, scan through the maintenance log, and line up priorities. Before lunch, you’ve chased down an intermittent sensor fault with a multimeter and schematics, replaced a worn conveyor bearing, and aligned a gearbox. After a safety huddle, you weld a cracked bracket, build a new hydraulic hose, and tune a VFD. You wrap the day documenting PMs and making one more round to ensure everything is safe and production-ready.

Compensation, schedule, and location

• $33–$42/hr base (depending on experience)
• Shift options
  Weekend Days: Thur - Sun 4:30am-4:30pm or Fri - Mon 4:30am-4:30pm
  Nights: Monday - Thursday 5pm - 5am
• $6/hr shift differential for Friday, Saturday and Sundays 5am on.
• $2/hr shift differential for the entire night shift
• Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, and surrounding areas)

What you’ll work on

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, belts, pulleys, and rollers
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems (cylinders, valves, solenoids, pumps) and build hydraulic hoses as needed
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs (MIG and stick) in various positions
• Use schematics, wiring diagrams, a multimeter, and a megger to track down electrical issues
• Install and precisely align new equipment using hoists, jacks, and precision tools
• Troubleshoot and support VFDs (SEW, Siemens, Lenze, Allen Bradley)
• Test equipment, identify required parts, complete repairs, and document preventative maintenance
• Keep the work area clean and safe while following all safety procedures, including LOTO
• Work at heights and operate forklifts, cranes, and scissor lifts when needed

What you bring

• 2+ years in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related discipline
• Hands-on skill with power tools, precision measuring devices, and lathe and/or milling equipment
• Experience using bearing heaters, executing interference fits, and removing gearboxes or seized bearings/shafts
• Competence in stick and MIG welding; able to fabricate and repair
• Strong electrical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, brake resistors, and related components
• Comfort reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4–20mA systems
• Proficient with multimeters, meggers, and other test instruments
• Capable of maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs
• Test electrical systems and continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
• Collaborative and partnership-oriented

Education: Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)
