What you will do

  • Perform physical and electrical tests on mechanical/electronic assemblies, including Safety Assessment, First Article, and UN testing on cells and batteries.
  • Capture and manipulate data using spreadsheets, databases, and Visual Basic routines; ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Create standardized and special test reports following SOPs for assigned tasks/projects.
  • Verify systems and components meet defined specifications.
  • Choose and load appropriate programs on test equipment to align with customer specs and protocols.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including in‑process and completed production records.
  • Use and read DMMs, thermocouples, environmental chambers, dial gauges, and related data collection tools.
  • Confirm all test equipment remains within calibration.
  • Comply with the Quality Assurance Program and recommend improvements.
  • Support additional assigned duties and be available for overtime and off‑shift work as needed.

What you need to succeed

  • Associate degree in a related discipline or 3 years of technician‑level experience in a manufacturing setting (required).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic, mechanical, and assembly drawings.
  • Foundational skills in testing, troubleshooting, and assembling digital and analog electronic circuits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Safe and efficient use of shop tools and test instruments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Capability to meet IPC workmanship and soldering standards (preferred).
  • Knowledge of electronic industry QA practices, including IPC standards.
  • Understanding of ESD mitigation practices.
  • Ability to submit written suggestions to enhance design and increase production throughput.
  • Demonstrated initiative and strong work ethic.

Tools you’ll operate
