Job Overview:

Apply electrical knowledge to the testing, development, modification, and operation of electrical control systems, equipment, and circuitry. This includes diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, apparatuses, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow LOTO and Arc flash requirements per NFPA 70-E, all company policies and procedures
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed and relocated machines and equipment (including telephones and computers).
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical and electronic components of machines such as relays, valves, cylinders, circuit boards, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
  • Capable of minor repairs and troubleshooting electrical on HVAC equipment.
  • Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Assists in managing mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts inventory (MRO supplies).
  • Acts in the capacity of security and fire protection assistant and maintenance/facilities repair assistant.
  • Follows all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment.
  • Capable of lifting 35 lbs.
  • Capable of working from heights (ladders or lifting devices)
  • Basic electrical calculations (ohms law)
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following.

  • Updates work order cover sheets, daily production sheet, and status sheet.
  • Provide maintenance upkeep of the facility.
  • Participates in departmental projects, as needed.
  • Maintains department in a clean and orderly manner.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an Electrician.
  • Electrical license or journey man’s card preferred.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics and building plans.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, ac-dc circuits, ac drives, etc. 
  • Knowledge of PLC’S, installation and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude.

  • Apply skills to perform assigned tasks, maintaining high quality of workmanship as per NEC requirements.
  • Proficient at installation of new equipment running conduit and pulling wire to make necessary connections as per NEC code.
  • Ability to learn and utilize maintenance work order system.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of industrial communication and protocols.
  • Effectively and safely uses precision tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Must be able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple priorities at once.
