Description:
G-Net Construction is hiring a full-time Electrician Helper to assist with commercial construction, interior renovation, and facility maintenance work across NYC. This is a hands-on support position for someone with basic electrical experience who wants to continue learning the trade.
This role is best suited for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, works neatly, and can follow direction from lead electricians and field supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead electricians with commercial electrical work
- Help install outlets, switches, light fixtures, conduit, and wiring
- Pull wire and organize materials, tools, and supplies
- Assist with low voltage, telephone, IT, and fire alarm wiring
- Help troubleshoot and repair electrical issues under supervision
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Load, unload, and move electrical materials and equipment
- Follow directions from lead electricians and field supervisors
Required Qualifications:
- Basic electrical field experience preferred
- OSHA-40 required for NYC field work
- Must be able to work on the books
- Must have basic hand tools appropriate for electrical work
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Must communicate clearly and follow direction
- Must work neatly and keep job sites organized
Preferred Qualifications:
- Staten Island resident with a valid driver’s license is strongly preferred, but not required
- Basic conduit, wiring, and device installation experience is a plus
- Basic blueprint reading is a plus
- Own vehicle or reliable transportation is a plus
