We have a client in Chesapeake, VA that is looking for a Commercial Electrician. The ideal candidate would have a background in installing and troubleshooting A/C and DC electrical circuits to include lighting, motor and pump controls, and transformer installation. The ability to read and interpret schematic and other wiring diagrams.
Job Duties include:
Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
Must have a valid drivers license
Bending and running EMT and rigid conduit.
Installation of PVC or flex conduit
Running MC cable, Romex and SOOW
Pulling wire
Installing breaker box
Wiring lighting and receptacle circuits which would often requiring working from manlift
Troubleshoot motor control circuits to include PLCs for conveyor systems.
Troubleshooting electrical systems on Heavy Equipment and Cranes
Determining load requirements and designing circuits to support those loads
Working with 480v three phase
Designing and installing control circuits such as timers or magnetic entry control devices.
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8AM – 430PM
When vessel is in port: 6AM – 12PM or 12PM – 6AM
Job would often include working twelve-hour shifts to support vessel operations and will include some weekend shifts.
