Industrial Electrician- Manufacturing Plant

Direct Hire | Full-Time | 2nd Shift 3pm to 11:30pm

Pay: $34.66 per Hour

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team on 2nd shift. This direct-hire opportunity is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating electrical systems, control systems, process instrumentation, and automation equipment throughout a manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial electrical distribution systems, PLCs, instrumentation, pneumatic controls, and production equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations by performing both preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.

  • Perform maintenance on electrical distribution systems, control systems, PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, transducers, and pneumatic systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related equipment failures.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.

  • Install and terminate conduit, conductors, control wiring, and network cabling.

  • Build and wire control panels from technical drawings and specifications.

  • Perform equipment inspections, testing, calibration, and adjustments to maintain optimal performance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting and online code review to support diagnostics and repairs.

  • Test and verify functionality of safety systems, including fire detection, gas detection, and hazardous material monitoring systems.

  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks including inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, repairs, and calibrations.

  • Maintain and calibrate electrical and electronic testing equipment.

  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.

  • Collaborate with operations personnel to schedule repairs and minimize production interruptions.

  • Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating industrial electrical equipment and machinery.

  • Working knowledge of industrial power distribution, PLC systems, instrumentation, controls, and automation equipment.

  • Strong understanding of electrical testing techniques and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools, electrical test equipment, and diagnostic instruments.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Forklift certification preferred; training and certification may be provided for qualified candidates.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and industrial equipment.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, ladders, lifts, rooftops, and around operating machinery.

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting as required.
