    Description

    We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Glendale, California. This position supports the design and analysis of electrical power and lighting systems for commercial, institutional, and public‑sector facilities. The engineer will work with project managers, architects, mechanical engineers, and clients to develop electrical designs from concept through construction.The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical power distribution design, lighting design, system analysis, and preparation of construction documents for building systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical power distribution systems for commercial, mixed‑use, and institutional facilitiesPrepare electrical construction documents including single‑line diagrams, panel schedules, power plans, and specificationsPerform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and fault current studiesDetermine AIC ratings and coordinate overcurrent protection devicesSize raceways, conductors, grounding systems, and electrical equipmentPrepare lighting layouts and perform illumination calculations using photometric softwareDesign indoor and outdoor lighting systems including point‑by‑point footcandle calculationsSelect transformers, panelboards, circuit breakers, and motor control equipmentCoordinate electrical systems with HVAC, plumbing, elevators, fire alarm, and other building systemsPerform field surveys of existing electrical systems and verify existing conditionsParticipate in coordination meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and utility companiesAssist with preparation of engineering reports, studies, and recommendationsSupport construction administration activities including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittalsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design for buildings or infrastructure projectsKnowledge of NEC, electrical design standards, and building codesExperience preparing electrical plans and construction documentsFamiliarity with electrical analysis such as load calculations, voltage drop, and short‑circuit studiesExperience with lighting design and photometric analysisProficiency in AutoCAD or Revit preferredCompensation: Salary based on experience and qualifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
