Description

The Electrical Field Testing Technician is responsible for assisting in commissioning and testing activities in the field for client projects across the nation.

  • Assist with the field testing for utility and industrial substations and facilities.

  • Assist with the verification of the proper installation of equipment.

  • Assist with testing of substation apparatus and systems.

  • Assist with compiling test results and creating reports for all the physical testing of equipment test procedures.

  • Develops knowledge and job skills of cost control and the corresponding testing and commissioning scheduling tasks.

  • Develops the knowledge and job skills to perform verification of yard wiring per design drawings.

  • Adhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards.

  • Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of electrical fundamentals, electrical transmission and distribution equipment, and their operations.

  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent required.

  • Or Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement required.

  • Previous related internship preferred.

  • Requires attention to safety and the ability to remain current on all safety training and certifications.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.

  • Valid driver's license required.
