A growing electrical product manufacturing company in Irvine is seeking a hands-on Electronic Engineer to support customer applications, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and manufacturing support activities for custom power supply and electronic products. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level engineer who enjoys solving real-world technical problems, working cross-functionally, and gaining exposure to international engineering operations.
Position Overview
The Electronic Engineer will support customer and internal engineering teams by performing failure analysis, troubleshooting power supply and electronic systems, supporting manufacturing activities, and assisting with technical problem resolution. This position involves both onsite troubleshooting and occasional customer-site support. The engineering team operates in a collaborative environment with continuous learning and exposure to new technical issues on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on failure analysis and troubleshooting of power supplies and electronic systems
Diagnose root causes of electrical and electronic failures
Support customer quality and technical support activities
Assist manufacturing and engineering teams with product-related issues
Perform soldering, component-level repair, and rework activities
Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and related diagnostic tools
Collaborate with engineering teams in the U.S. and Taiwan to resolve technical issues
Support customer-site troubleshooting activities when required
Document findings, testing results, and corrective actions
Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, customer service, and sales teams
Required Qualifications
Understanding of electronic circuits and troubleshooting methodologies
Failure analysis or repair experience
Strong soldering and hands-on bench skills
Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical failures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâs Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Experience with power supplies or power electronics
Customer-facing technical support experience
Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and lab diagnostic equipment
Mandarin language skills are a strong plus but not required
