Description:

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years is seeking an Electrical Technician II for a W2 contract opportunity. This is a hands-on role supporting the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment.

Job Title: Electrical Technician II

Location: Wilmington, NC

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: Thursday - Sunday: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Education: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize production equipment.
  • Support electrical installation, testing, debugging, and startup activities.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical and automation systems.
  • Support PLC-based equipment and industrial controls.
  • Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and contractors during installations.
  • Update installation documentation and equipment drawings.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and electrical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing experience working with process automation and production equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of 480VAC power systems.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, industrial controls, and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, B&R PLCs, SCADA/HMI, or PID controls is a plus.

Travel

  • Travel to other manufacturing facilities within North Carolina may be required during project planning, development, and deployment phases.
  • Travel assignments may range from several days to several weeks, with full-time travel possible during deployment.
  • Project durations typically range from 3 to 9 months and may extend beyond one year.
