Job Description Job Description Job SummaryThe Electrical Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all electrical construction activities on power generation projects. This role requires extensive experience in industrial construction and gas turbine simple-cycle and combined-cycle power facilities. The Superintendent ensures electrical work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise all electrical craft personnel, foremen, and general foremen on sitePlan, schedule, and coordinate electrical work activities in alignment with the overall project scheduleOversee installation, testing, and commissioning of:Power distribution systemsCable tray and conduit systemsControl wiring and instrumentation supportSwitchgear, transformers, MCCs, and substationsGrounding systems and lighting installationsTurbine and balance-of-plant electrical systemsCoordinate closely with project management, engineering, quality, safety, and other craft disciplinesEnsure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, NFPA, site-specific rules)Conduct daily job briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planningMonitor productivity, manpower loading, and material usage; adjust plans as needed to meet schedule milestonesReview drawings, specifications, one-lines, and work packages to ensure proper executionInterface with inspectors, client representatives, vendors, and commissioning teams as requiredIdentify and resolve field issues, constructability concerns, and work conflictsEnforce quality control standards, testing requirements, and electrical code complianceSupport startup, commissioning, energization, and turnover activities as requiredRequired QualificationsMinimum 10–15 years of experience in electrical or heavy industrial construction, with direct power generation experienceProven experience on gas turbine simple-cycle and combined-cycle power plantsStrong hands-on and supervisory experience with:Electrical power distribution systemsCable tray, conduit, and raceway installationMedium- and low-voltage systemsSwitchgear, transformers, and MCC installationsStartup and commissioning supportPrior experience as an Electrical Superintendent or General Foreman on large-scale projectsStrong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and electrical safety standardsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and specificationsExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsStrong commitment to safety and qualityPreferred QualificationsNCCER certification or equivalent trade credentialsExperience working on utility-scale or large industrial power projectsFamiliarity with union and non-union work environmentsExperience with new construction and EPC projectsWork Environment & RequirementsAbility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and shutdown schedules as requiredAbility to work in industrial environments, including elevated work, confined spaces, and outdoor conditionsWillingness to travel or work at remote project locationsBenefits:Competitive compensation paid weeklyBest-in-class; Medical, Dental, Vision, and LTD/STD401(k) with company match, vested day-oneEmployee Stock Purchase Plan [ESPP]Tuition ReimbursementPaid Time Off, Holiday Pay, and Community Service Paid Time OffPet Coverage "For our Furry Friends"Legal Assistance CoverageAward winning safety programsOpportunities for professional development and career advancementCompany OverviewPrimoris was formed in 2004 as the parent company and is traded on the NYSE under the symbol PRIM.
