Licensed Electrical Superintendent

We are seeking a hands-on Licensed Electrical Superintendent to lead commercial electrical construction work across jobsites within the Mobile, AL area. This role is for a field leader who can run crews, stay active in the work, coordinate jobsite execution, and make sure commercial electrical installation is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

The best-fit candidate has strong commercial electrical construction experience, an active electrical license or equivalent trade credential, and proven field leadership experience.


Location: Within 30 miles of Mobile, AL

Schedule: Field construction schedule; overtime may be available based on project needs

Work Setting: Primarily onsite at commercial construction jobsites

Role Type: Direct hire or Contract to Hire- Candidate's choice

Travel: Occasional local/regional travel, including possible overnight stays based on business needs, but currently all local

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead electrical field professional on assigned commercial construction projects
  • Lead crews by example through hands-on field involvement
  • Install and oversee installation of conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, controls, and related commercial electrical systems
  • Direct Journeymen, Apprentices, Helpers, and other field team members
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, schedule updates, and job progress with Project Managers
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, schedules, and project documents
  • Troubleshoot field installation issues and provide practical jobsite solutions
  • Coordinate with customers, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades
  • Enforce OSHA, company, customer, and jobsite safety requirements
  • Ensure all work meets NEC requirements, applicable codes, project specifications, and workmanship standards
  • Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, closeout items, and turnover support
  • Maintain safe, productive, clean, and organized jobsites
  • Use ProCore for daily project documentation and field communication
  • Mentor apprentices and developing electricians in safe work practices, installation methods, tool use, code awareness, and professional jobsite conduct

Qualifications

  • Active electrical license, journeyman/master-level credential, or equivalent recognized trade qualification
  • 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience
  • 3+ years of electrical field leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial electrical installation background
  • Ability to lead crews while remaining hands-on in the work
  • Strong knowledge of NEC requirements, electrical systems, power distribution, controls, and construction practices
  • Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedules
  • Strong troubleshooting, field coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Willingness to travel locally/regionally as project needs require
  • Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders/scaffolding/aerial lifts, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing

Desired Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or developing junior electricians
  • ProCore experience
  • HVAC controls, BAS, or building automation exposure is helpful, but not required
