Electrical Site Supervisor

Location: Reading / Oxfordshire (Field-Based, with travel to London & West Midlands)
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 DOE + Company Car + Quarterly Bonus

At Zest, our mission is to accelerate the UK's transition to net zero by delivering high-quality electric vehicle charging infrastructure for local authorities and businesses nationwide.

We're looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to join our Operations team, overseeing the delivery of EV charging installations across Reading, Oxfordshire, and surrounding areas. Whether you're already supervising projects or you're a qualified electrician ready to take the next step into leadership, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervise the installation of EV charging infrastructure across multiple sites.

  • Carry out pre-site surveys and assess site suitability.

  • Conduct site inductions and oversee contractors during installations.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

  • Monitor progress and provide regular project updates.

  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Carry out site inspections and ensure Health & Safety compliance.

  • Support with commissioning and maintenance of EV charge points (full training provided).

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Qualified Electrician.

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).

  • 1-2 years' hands-on electrical installation experience.

  • Happy to remain hands-on, including commissioning work on site.

  • ECS Card (or equivalent).

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

Desirable

  • Previous site supervision experience.

  • Experience installing EV charging infrastructure.

  • SSSTS or SMSTS.

  • Knowledge of BS7671, EV charge point installation standards, CDM regulations and Health & Safety.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday

  • 9:00am - 5:00pm (45-minute lunch)

  • Flexible start and finish times depending on site location

  • Approximately 4 days on-site and 1 day working from home for administration

  • Frequent travel across Reading, Oxfordshire, London and occasionally the West Midlands

  • Overnight stays may occasionally be required

Interview Process

  1. 15-20 minute Teams call with HR to discuss your experience, motivation, salary expectations and right to work.

  2. First-stage Teams interview with the Hiring Manager and a member of the People Team.

  3. Final Teams interview (30-40 minutes) with the Operations Director.
